Standardized School Rules--To be followed by all faculty and staff
Dress according to Little Rock School Distrit dress code standards, per the 2009 handbook.
Book bags must be mesh or clear.
Not following school policy will be put in log form

6 and 7th grade students will be expected to stay upstairs, there is
no need to be in the downstairs of the main building.
Some 7th and 8th downstairs
No backpacks allowed
Student organizer must be with the student at all times.
Backpacks taken by teacher and turned into office
Progressive discipline will be followed for students who choose not
to comply to the rules
Bookbags must be constructed from mesh or clear material.
No string bags or any bag that could carry school supplies
Going to lockers: 6th grade before school between first/second, second/third, and third/fourth period. Must get your stuff before 4th block. Sixth graders are not permitted to go to their lockers at the end of the day. Sixth graders dismissed at 3:43 to allow them time to get to the bus.
Students will not be detained by teachers because of discipline, they need to go on to their next class. Students will not be leaving class for activities unless they are approved of by the principal.
Hall supervision. The bell does not dismiss students, teachers do. All
faculty is responsible for supervision and assistance. Teachers must
be at doors to great students between changing periods.
Ms Baylark and Mr Knighten will have bullhorns, you need to pay attention
to instructions given.
All staff should ask students to show her/his agenda book if out of class during instruction time. If no agenda then the studen will be carrying a color coded copy of the agenda page that allows them to leave the classroom.
Students are ONLY to use 2009 and 2010 agenda book found in their student organizer.
No passes issue during the first and last fifteen minutes of class. Please use the restroom during your passing period.
8th graders can come up middle stairs between classes.

Teachers are to sign the universal hall pass.
Students will not be allowed into classrooms during their lunch period.
Emergency procedures. Students need to remember that emergency drills are a serioud matter, and should refrain from horseplay.
In-School is in room 508. No student will be released to get an assignment. Student will be required to complete all work assigned. If student has been assigned in-school they can not attend any district activity on that day. They will remain with Mr Carr for lunch. A student may be assigned for in-school for a single period. These suspension are from a failure to attend and be engaged in class.
Teachers will use the large referral forms only. The school is discontinuing the use of behavior documents.
Student can only go to in-school suspension twice in a semester for the same offense.
First step for the teacher is to issue a warning, the second step is for the teacher to send the referral to the counselor. The teacher and counselor will contact the parent together.
Drugs, fighting, weapons, etc. are to be immediately referred to administration/security/police.
